Before going to bed last night I set my alarm for 3:30 so I wouldn’t miss the eclipse.  There I was standing on my stoop looking into the night sky, but all I could see were clouds -  then I realized I was naked.  I got back in bed and at one point I had the weirdest dream - I think it was another ATRIPLA dream.  When I decided to officially wake up today - I stayed in bed for a while thinking about everything - where I am in this process and how I’m guided by a source of energy far away from the world I know.

I spent the weekend in SOHO - attending a workshop where I meditated with a group.  We also were guided through visualization exercises and at one point - in my mind - I began to see Jeff Elrod’s work.  At that moment I could see the outcome of a project I’m working on - it was simply magical!

It isn’t that often I feel this way -  but I’m really going to miss spending time with Pawel Althamer’s work.  I don’t know what it is - and maybe I’m not supposed to know - but there is a connectivity with Althamer’s work  that I cannot put into words.

It isn’t that often I feel this way - but I’m really going to miss spending time with Pawel Althamer’s work.  I don’t know what it is - and maybe I’m not supposed to know - but there is a connectivity with Althamer’s work  that I cannot put into words.

Matthias Bitzer’s exhibit Saturnine Swing took me to a multi layered realm - to a space where I experienced so many different emotions.  It was like looking at layer upon layer of information - like what I often experience when I’m in the shower - where thoughts and ideas come from out of nowhere.

I was thrilled when to see Jordan Wolfson’s wall mounted sculpture’s which are covered with stickers (I love stickers).  But  was I surprised, because they’re not mass produced stickers - each sticker was written and designed by Wolfosn!

Last night I went to three openings - I really don’t like attending openings. Within minutes I ran into Roseanne Barr, Chuck Close, Linda Simpson, Earl Dax - and a sea of people I did not know.  I also went back to 303 Gallery to share more time with Collier Schorr’s work and I began to wonder - does any of this really matter?

So it’s April 1st and since early December I’ve been thinking about my work.  Thinking about what I want to do next - what work I want to create.  I’ve been to so many galleries and museum’s sharing time with other artist work.  This is just part of the process and also spending time with other artist whom I think of not only as friends, but people who I love.

I feel like I’ve been spinning in this endless circle, sketching out thoughts in my mind.  Just the other day it occurred to me what I want to do next - what story I want to share. I’m almost ready to start working on it - I’m really excited - and I can’t wait to share the process here.
