Sharing time with David Wojnarowicz’s Falling Buffalo brought back memories of the New York I knew back in the ‘80’s.  I left PPOW thinking about how I only worked in black and white then - this process - and like how I’m returning to black and white.

Before going to bed last night I set my alarm for 3:30 so I wouldn’t miss the eclipse.  There I was standing on my stoop looking into the night sky, but all I could see were clouds -  then I realized I was naked.  I got back in bed and at one point I had the weirdest dream - I think it was another ATRIPLA dream.  When I decided to officially wake up today - I stayed in bed for a while thinking about everything - where I am in this process and how I’m guided by a source of energy far away from the world I know.

I spent the weekend in SOHO - attending a workshop where I meditated with a group.  We also were guided through visualization exercises and at one point - in my mind - I began to see Jeff Elrod’s work.  At that moment I could see the outcome of a project I’m working on - it was simply magical!

It isn’t that often I feel this way - but I’m really going to miss spending time with Pawel Althamer’s work.  I don’t know what it is - and maybe I’m not supposed to know - but there is a connectivity with Althamer’s work  that I cannot put into words.

Last night I thought about where I was a year ago - I mean how insanely busy I was with work.  Now - a year later - new doors are opening and it’s like a reflection of what was happening last year - I love it! Though I wish I could have just one day - no phone - no computer -  to stay in bed with someone - and snuggle.

I love works consisting of black and white - so I felt really happy sharing time with Jeff Elrod’s work.  At the same I began to feel like my pupils were dilated - the experience left me feeling like I was floating in the clouds.

Rudolf Stingel’s paintings are like faded vintage photographs.  Sharing time with his work brought back memories of playing with snow globes when I was a kid - imagining a world far away.

Matthias Bitzer’s exhibit Saturnine Swing took me to a multi layered realm - to a space where I experienced so many different emotions.  It was like looking at layer upon layer of information - like what I often experience when I’m in the shower - where thoughts and ideas come from out of nowhere.

When I spotted this van yesterday - I immediately thought about Kevin Cyr’s recent exhibition Right Place, Right Time.  I love it when I see life imitating art!

I was thrilled when to see Jordan Wolfson’s wall mounted sculpture’s which are covered with stickers (I love stickers).  But  was I surprised, because they’re not mass produced stickers - each sticker was written and designed by Wolfosn!

Last night I looked up at the moon over Manhattan and thought about everything that seems to be riding on the work I’m doing now - and how I need to stay focused on details.  Also - I thought about the approaching lunar eclipses and I look forward to the challenge’s ahead.

I went back to the New Museum to share more time with Pawel Althamer’s work.  The Draftman’s Congress took me to a place where I was blissfully with color constancy - it was a place I’ll never forget.

Last night I went to three openings - I really don’t like attending openings. Within minutes I ran into Roseanne Barr, Chuck Close, Linda Simpson, Earl Dax - and a sea of people I did not know.  I also went back to 303 Gallery to share more time with Collier Schorr’s work and I began to wonder - does any of this really matter?

I went to share more time with Michel Majerus’ work.  There’s something about his work that seems unfinished - like coloring books that he started to use, but never completed.

Laurie Simmons new work brought back childhood memories of sneaking into my sisters room to play with Barbie.  I would spend hours dressing up Barbie while listening to Don’t Rain On My Parade  - again and again.
